R.I.P. - Sassy - 1995-2011

We had to put our beloved Tuxedo kitty to sleep today. She was suffering from kidney failure and had lost half her body weight since December.

She was a darling, darling girl and I will miss her forever.

Goodbye sweetheart....

She was such a good girl... even if she really hated wearing a Santa hat.

She hasn't been well since December but it got a whole lot worse in the past few days. She started the hiding thing and tried to get outside, just looking for a way to slip away quietly.

Hubby is devastated. Sassy was his cat and she's the longest lived pet he's ever had.

I just... we could've tried the fluid injections and dialysis but one of her kidneys was already gone and the other one was shutting down. We've already seen what happens when you hold on for too long and neither of us were willing to put her through that.

It was her time.

That's really all I can say about it right now.

It's never easy to say goodbye to a kitty, and I'm so sorry for what you guys are going through.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to make you guys feel better, and know I am thinking of you.
