We had to put our beloved Tuxedo kitty to sleep today. She was suffering from kidney failure and had lost half her body weight since December.

She was a darling, darling girl and I will miss her forever.

She could be loud and demanding but we always knew where we stood with her. She had a purr that shook her whole body and her favorite place in the whole world was my hubby's left shoulder. If he was on the couch, she'd creep up on him and wait until he wasn't paying attention, then the paws would be hooked over his shoulder and she'd tuck her face against his and just... be.

God, the house is so quiet without her here.
