I'm so sorry to hear about your mom.

T is tough, I know he'll find another job as soon as he gets over the shock of losing this one. He's been working at Apple since he retired from the Army and it really used to be a good place to work. But ever since Steve Jobs died, it's turned into hell.

I guess I shoud be glad he escaped - the job was slowly killing him. We'll just have to adjust and move on.
