Hubby lost his job yesterday...

I'm so sorry, sweetie. It has been such a horrible week for so many of us. I lost my mom on Tuesday and we're dealing with all that right now.

I hope that things get better for you both and that he finds another job as quickly as possible. What a rotten thing to do right at the holidays. :(

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom.

T is tough, I know he'll find another job as soon as he gets over the shock of losing this one. He's been working at Apple since he retired from the Army and it really used to be a good place to work. But ever since Steve Jobs died, it's turned into hell.

I guess I shoud be glad he escaped - the job was slowly killing him. We'll just have to adjust and move on.

The job was doing its level best to kill my hubby so I'm fairly philosophical about it now. We'll miss the money but his health is much more important and he can always get another job.

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. Three funerals in two months has had me reeling and I've been a little more insulated than usual. Getting close to the "about as much as I can take" stage.

I still occasionally get emails about Unstoppable, though. They make me smile, even if I have to explain to people that it very likely won't get finished.

I'm so sorry about your recent losses - I feel like such a bad friend for not keeping in touch better.

All that happened to us is that hubby lost his job at Apple so we've got to tighten the belt a bit. Merry Christmas, right?

Yeah, Merry Christmas. Still, perhaps better now than when things at Apple get worse. I'm sure he'll find something; he's got plenty of skills and experience.

There's a rant her in my LJ if you want to know a little more about what's been going on. I miss talking with you and the time we used to spend online together. I've been out of touch for a while, too, and sometimes I wish things were different. Sigh. But life is what it is, right?
